Where We Play

The University of Mississippi’s Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center ranks as one of the nation’s finest collegiate facilities.  Located in the heart of campus and surrounded by towering magnolia trees, the tennis center (completed in 1990) underwent dramatic enhancements in 2012, complementing an already stunning facility.

“We have one of the best atmospheres in college tennis in large part to the intimate setting we have here at the tennis center,” men’s head coach Toby Hansson said.

The Ole Miss men’s tennis team boasts one of the top fan bases in the country. For the eighth consecutive year in 2015, the Rebels ranked among the nation’s top 10 in attendance, finishing ninth overall and fifth in average attendance.

The Rebels, who finished 11-2 at home in 2015, played in front of 3,246 fans. Nearly 1,000 supported the Rebels in their final regular season homestand against Tennessee and Kentucky.

“We have great facilities that allow the fans to be right on top of the action. Our fans create an outstanding gameday atmosphere and make Oxford one of the toughest places to play in college tennis.”

Men’s tennis benefits from the Gillom Sports Center. The facility contains three indoor tennis courts, allowing both tennis teams to play all their matches in Oxford, rain or shine.  The facility features an electronic scoreboard and seating up top for optimal viewing of all three courts.

The Rebels play several matches on the indoor courts during the winter months and have hosted the first and second rounds of the ITA National Team Indoor.
